HERVYBE PUBLISHING Creating After 50 WHERE HER VOICE BECOMES HER STORY ONE PAGE AT A TIME

Why I Decided to Share What I'm Learning
I'm 55, I'm learning AI, and lately I've found myself paying a lot more attention to how other people are using it.
While watching YouTube videos and looking at AI-generated graphics across different platforms, I started noticing something. I know that using AI can be intimidating. And here today as I write this blog post, AI is creating havoc in our society. This is why I use AI as my personal assistant. Not a replacement, but creative on a budget. At least, for me.
But, as I use ChatGPT for organizing and implementing scheduled tasks, I also use ChatGPT for my images. When I looked at some AI platforms, images, avatars, or photos using the same prompts, result in something different. The images weren't necessarily the same, but sometimes the style, effect, lighting, or overall look felt familiar.
And me being me, I definetly had questions.
What are they telling AI to get that look?
Is there a certain word for it? A keyword? A photography term? A short phrase that tells AI, “This is the type of image I'm trying to create,” without me writing a whole paragraph trying to explain what's already in my head?
It reminded me of something I see on YouTube all the time.
Someone can watch another creator's video, become inspired by the concept, and then create something completely different using their own personality, experience, voice, and perspective.
The idea may inspire you, but the final creation becomes your own.
That's what I wanted to understand about AI-generated visuals.
I didn't want to copy somebody else's image. I wanted to understand what created the style so I could take that knowledge and create something that fit my vision.
That curiosity sent me down another AI rabbit hole.
I've been learning about prompts, visual keywords, photography terminology, lighting, image effects, and even how a couple of carefully chosen words can change what AI creates.
And I decided—why keep what I'm learning to myself?
So, welcome to How I Use AI at 55.
I'm not coming to you as an AI guru. I'm learning, experimenting, asking questions, getting some great results, getting some “Nope, try that again” results 😂, and sharing what I discover along the way.
If you're learning too, come along with me.

Because one of the first things I'm discovering is this:
Sometimes the problem isn't the picture in your head. You just need to learn what to call it.

Why I Created the AI Everyday Business Assistant Toolkit
One thing I have learned on my AI journey is that having access to AI and knowing how to make it useful for your everyday life and business are two different things.
When I first started using AI more seriously, I realized I did not need hundreds of random prompts. I needed help with the things I was actually trying to accomplish — organizing all of my ideas, planning content, researching, developing products, keeping track of projects, and figuring out what I needed to do next.
And if you are anything like me, sometimes the problem is not that you don't have ideas. You have too many of them.
That is what inspired me to create the HERVYBE AI Everyday Business Assistant Toolkit.
I wanted something practical that I could open when I needed direction. Something that could help me think through an idea first and then use AI as an assistant to help me organize it, build on it, and move it forward.
I also wanted it to feel comfortable for someone who may still be learning AI — especially women 50+ who have years of experience, knowledge, creativity, and ideas but may not always know where technology fits into what they are trying to build.
For me, learning AI has never been about letting technology do everything for me. It has been about learning how to make the technology work with what I already know.
That is the purpose behind this toolkit.
If you have ideas sitting in notebooks, unfinished plans, content you want to create, or a business idea that needs a little more organization, this may be a good place to start.
The AI Everyday Business Assistant Toolkit is available now in the HERVYBE Store.
